Biography

Dr. Tikilili is an experienced Research Scientist adept at developing, executing, and evaluating high-quality research in the Science and Engineering field. She holds a PhD degree in Chemical engineering technology obtained at the University of Pretoria. Her doctoral research was focused on the use of an innovative biological process for removal nitrogenous pollutants from wastewater. Her research as a Postdoctoral Fellow involved the removal of pesticide from water and soil environments. She also established a fruitful research collaboration with the international academic institution, University of Hawaii (USA). After moving out of academia, she worked as the Research and Development Manager where she managed and administered a research team while working in numerous research projects on Sanitation and Waste treatment. She is proficient in Project Management with advanced abilities in innovation and rigorous research procedures. She brings deep understanding of Environmental Management, Microbiology and Biotechnology subjects.

She worked as project lead on various projects that contributes significantly to the space of air quality, water quality, waste management, waste classification, sludge processing, energy saving and sustainable operation of commercial plants. She has advanced knowledge in planning, executing and managing multiple projects, managing project information, communicating to stakeholders at various levels and she is resourceful at finding and implementing technical solutions to practical problems.
